A scout in a leadership position, who wants to use the leadership role
for rank advancement, will be asked to formulate a set of goals for his
position and review them at the start of his term of office with the SPL
and Scoutmaster. We also ask that the goals be discussed with the scout’s
parents. During the subsequent Scoutmaster conference those goals will
be used to determine if the scout has shown leadership.
Leadership Positions include:
- Senior Patrol Leader
- Assistant Senior Patrol Leader
- Bugler
- Chaplain Aide
- Den Chief
- Historian
- Instructor
- Librarian
- OA Representative
- Patrol Leader
- Quartermaster
- Scribe
- Troop Guide
Using this process it is hoped that we can encourage the scouts to actively
take on the roles they arevolunteering for, and this will also strengthen
them as leaders and the Troop as a whole. We are implementing this starting
with the current scout leadership group. For questions see the SPL or
Scoutmaster.
